TRONE PICKS UP FIRST WIN OF THE YEAR
IN 358 ACTION AT TRAIL-WAY SPEEDWAY
This past Friday at T-W was a great night as we got our first win
of the season! We started 4th and took the lead on lap 3 and held
off Jeff Rohrbaugh for the win. Finished 4th in the heat after
getting wrecked with 3 laps to go trying to take the lead.
Reastarted with a smashed nose wing and got back to 4th but that was
good enough to get handicapped.

LOOKING BACK AT THE 2010 SEASON
Looking back at the 2010 season, we had a great season despite not
getting to victory lane. Overall we had 9 top fives and 13 top tens
in 20 starts. Some of the highlights were finishing 3rd six times at
Trail-way. Also finishing 5th in my first race at Port Royal in a
358. I raced there once in a micro sprint. Another highlight was
finishing 4th in the Trail-way season points which was a career best
in the 358. I'd also like to acknowledge my 2 stepsons,Tyler and
Zachary, who began their racing careers in 2010 racing a peewee
kart. Zachary won 6 times and Tyler 3 times! Kristi, myself, and
family are so proud of them. I'd like to thank all of our sponsors,
family, crew, friends and fans for a successful season.
Looking ahead to 2011, we purchased a new Maxim Chassis. We still
have the J&J as a back-up. Jim Travis is freshening up the engine
once again. We will once again run the full schedule at Trail-way.
If all goes as planned, we will run some races before T-W opens. We
are looking to run at Lincoln March 12th, Williams Grove March 18th
and Port Royal March 19th. We may also get to a few more throughout
the season but will focus on the boy's racing as well. We are moving
them up to a new cage clone class at Hunterstown. We purchased 2
Rage Jr Nitro chassis for them. We'd also like to thank our
returning sponsors: Robin Myers Enterprises, Fastenal Racing,
Simpson Race Products, KT's Pizza, Travis Racing Engines, Kess Body
Shop,Rucker Computer Solutions, and Eureka Lubricants. We are also
seeking additional sponsorship, big or small. if anyone is
interested. I can be reached by e-mail at
jtr992k4@yahoo.com. On
behalf of myself and JTR Motorsports, we look forward to seeing
everyone at the tracks soon!
Thank you,
Joe Trone Jr .

TRONE FINISHES 3rd AT TRAIL-WAY
We started out the night on a good note winning our heat race from
our 5th starting spot. We started 10th in the feature and raced our
way to a strong 3rd place finish making back to back top five
finished for the team. Come out and support the team...

TRONE FINISHES 9th AT TRAIL-WAY
On Friday at T-W, I finished 4th in my heat. Since it was the Spring
Championship we drew for starting spots but just like two weeks ago
I drew 12 for the feature again. It was very difficult to pass as
the track was pretty much one lane around the bottom but I managed
to finish in 9th. On Saturday,at Hunterstown, Zachary finished 2nd
in his heat and 3rd in the feature. He continues to improve every
week! This coming weekend we have off with the sprint car so it's
Hunterstown on Saturday.

TRONE FINISHES 5th AT TRAIL-WAY
On Friday at T-W, I finished 3rd in my heat. We redrew for starting
spots and unfortunately I pulled the 12 pill. We had a strong car so
I was able go forward and ended up with a solid 5th place finish. We
were very happy with that after all the bad luck going back to last
season. On Saturday, Zachary drove the peewee kart again. He started
3rd in his heat and jumped into the lead. Some of the more
experienced kids got by then but he was doing a great job until the
engine shut off. We patched it back together and prayed it would
hold up so he could finish the feature. Luckily it did and he looked
awesome passing a few karts and finished 4th. He was smiling all
night. Next week it's Trail-way Friday and Hunterstown Saturday
again.

SEASON OPENER FOR 358 SPRINTS AT TRAIL-WAY
We finally got to race this weekend for the first time this season.
We ran Trail-way Friday. I won my heat then redrew 4 for the
feature. On the start though I got together with another car and the
front axle broke ending my night with a 21st place finish. It was a
disappointing end to the night but we feel really good about 2010.
Thanks to Travis Racing Engines for helping get us back to being competitive again.
On Saturday, we debuted our pee wee kart at Hunterstown with Zachary
behind the wheel for his first race ever. He was doing great but
unfortunately the engine gave us problems and he had to drop out. We
were all very proud of him though. He was getting more comfortable
as the night went on. This week it's Trail-way Friday and
Hunterstown Saturday and possibly Sunday.
