TRONE FINSHES 7TH AND MOVES INTO A TIE
FOR THE POINTS LEAD
Friday at Trail-way was very up and down. I finished third in my
heat but was challenging for 2nd coming for the checkered but the
second place car came down on me, making contact sending me spinning
across the finish line. We had to replace most of the front end
parts for the feature. I started 10th and got to 7th place at the
finish. That was good enough to get us into a tie for the point lead
with Bill Dietrich. Come out and support the team.

TRONE FINSHES 4TH
Friday at Trail-Way I finished 4th in my heat to make the handicap
invert.
I started 12th in the feature and while the car didn't feel great it
was good enough to get to 4th place at the finish for the second
week in a row. So far we're having a solid year at Trail-Way and sit
2nd in points. Saturday at Lincoln I finished 4th in my heat which
put me in 16th starting spot for the feature. It was yet another
tough night even though the car did feel better than it has the last
few races. I ended up in 15th place at the finish. If all goes well,
we will be at Trail-Way and Port Royal this weekend. Come out and support the team.

TRONE FINSHES 4TH
The evening started out good with a 4th place finish in the heat
race. I started 10th in the feature. The car was on a rail but only
one caution on the 4th lap and heavy lapped traffic made it tough
even with a good car to make passes for position. At the end of the
night we ended up with a strong 4th place finish.
Come out and support the team.

TRONE CLAIMS FIRST VICTORY OF SEASON
The evening started out good with a 4th place finishin the heat
race put me in the redraw. I pulled the 4 pill. I got a good start
on the first try getting into 2nd but it was called back due a
crash. I got to move up to 2nd for the next start. It took a few
starts to get a lap in but I got the lead at the start and held on
for our first win of the season. I'd like to again thank my parents,
crew, and sponsors for all they do. I'd also like to thank Brad
McClelland, who unfortunately had to scratch for the night with
engine problems, for coming out during the red to get me calmed down
and refocused as I was overdriving the car before that.
Come out and support the team.

GETTING CLOSER
Friday at Trail-way I started 7th in my heat and finished 2nd.
In the feature I started 10th and finished 4th. All in all a
pretty good night for the team. The car really handled well
even as the track dried out pretty bad several laps into the
feature.

THIS WEEKS UPDATE
Friday at Trail-way I finished 2nd in my heat and started 4th in the feature.
At the start a car got loose in front of me and I had to check up to
avoid hitting him which dropped me a few spots. I was able to get back to 5th
but with the car getting very loose I spun out on the 21st lap. I
restarted last and came back to finish 9th.
On Saturday at Lincoln I again finished 2nd in my heat. I started the feature in 6th and
finished 12th. We continued to try some different things at Lincoln and even though I still struggled,
I feel we are getting closer and more competitive each time we go back!

2009 SEASON PREVIEW
After marking his first 358 Sprint win in 2008, Joe and
the entire JTR Team are excited and ready to see what the 2009
season will bring. The guys have been working hard in the shop all
winter long and have all the equipment fresh and ready to go. Joe
and the blue 99 were at all the pre-season race shows and would like
to say thanks to all that came out to say hello. Last week though,
was a true sign that the shows are over and that the official racing
season is here as Lincoln Speedway opened their gates for the 410
Super Sprints Ice Breaker 30. Joe and all the areas 358's drivers
were spectators, but will open up their season at Lincoln Speedway
on March 14th and 28th with the 410's. Then on April 3rd at all the
guys will head to Trail- way Speedway where the weekly friday shows
will start and run through September. Joe and the team plan to
attend as many Lincoln races as they can this year, but their focus
again will be to run for the points championship at Trail-way
Speedway. So check out the schedule today and make plans to come out
and support Joe and the 99 team as they battle in PA's biggest
sprint car division.
See you at the track!

2008 SEASON COMPLETE
Friday night was the last race of the season for Joe and
company at Trail-way Speedway. It was the Trone Outdoor 358
Championship race.
Joe started the night out running a good heat race and finished 4th.
That parked the #99 in the 16th starting spot for the Championship
race feature. Thats when it all went downhill from there Joe said.
"At the start, coming off of turn 2, the car in front of me got
sideways. I tried to get by, we made contact sending me into the
wall. I kept going and the car still felt ok. I was advancing
through the field when a few laps later, 2 more cars made contact
and I got collected in that forcing me to the rear of the field.
Again, I was advancing when several other cars got together. I tried
to duck under them but didn't make and flipped ending a very bad
night. I was credited and paid for 23rd position. Thank you all for
supporting us during the 2008 Racing season. We are sad to see it
come to an end, but next year will be here very soon."
See you at the track!
